amberdanddavidj asked: Hello we recently applied for a rental home with a property manager (in V.A.). We have spoke to the owner who is very nice and she required no credit check and said that in her mind we were already “approved” she had to get a property manager b/c her and her family were moving to a different state. Just wondering how long it would take this property management co. to approve/deny our application. And what there normal procedures on the approval were. We paid a deposit of first months rent and app. fee of $40.

We have a credit score of 710, a perfect rental history, a secure income and applied to rent a home. We were told that about 20 others had also applied for the same home.
A friend who owns a rental property said that most applicants have a credit score in the mid 600s, I’m just curious about the experiences of others who own renta property.
