pantheress559 asked: In 2008 I am looking to buy property (I’m currently renting). Do you think it is wise to buy my first property as an investment property (2 / 3 flat building) opposed to buying a town home?

What would you do if you have extra money, will you invest your money in a property or will you put your money somewhere else (mutual funds, ira, 401k etc)??

kathyannage asked: Here in Missouri, as in other states, i suppose, the sell prpperties at the court house steps after they are listed in the newspaper for a certian amount of time. Is it safe to buy these and how do you find out if their are huge liens or other problems with them? As i understand it, someone could have a lien on the prperty but it could be filed somewhere else besides the courthouse where they are selling the property? Want to buy for investment but am reluctant to do so, any ideas or anyone bought these type of properties at the courthouse steps?

trichards888 asked: Hi, this year I bought a house and rent the two extra rooms out. I’m wondering how I file this specifically with TurboTax? Do I claim it as a rental property or as an investment? Publication 527 says to claim portions of the expenses on Schedule E, but I don’t know how this corresponds to what TurboTax wants to do. Thanks!

kpj asked: If my spouse should be admitted to a nursing home, can I protect our rental property investment by removing his name from the deed? Or will the government force me to sell the property to pay for the nursing home?

jim jones asked: My fico scores are above 700. I am 25 and I want to buy my first home, and another property as an investment property. how can I do it at the same time? I plan on getting a “no doc” loan for both. I’m new to the real estate industry, and just looking for a few more answers than the ones I’ve gotten from brokers.
