What to look for in hiring a property management service to rent property for you?

a person that has morals and ethics. you are trusting your investment to them. even if they seem like a genius but you have doubts about their integrity, don’t use them. i would rather has someone a little less experienced but who seemed very ethical than a slick person who could turn on me too like he or she does others.

A lawyer is most important to have when hiring a property
management service. . Keep him by your side for information
you may not be aware of .

Generally speaking you should ask for a months rent as a bond and a months rent in advance…At least thats the form around here where I live..
The bond covers any damages that a tenant might cause.
Also be aware that maintenance has to be done on any property you rent out..
I am a self employed painter and decorator and work for 2 local agencies doing the redecoration of vacated properties and regularly have to redo houses that have all the usual wear and tear..Generally its never too bad and tenants are usually quite good…As for the credit checks I am unable to help you there as its not my field…
Always do an inventory of everything in the house BEFORE you let it out that way you can use a deduction from the bond if needed..and always satisfy yourself that the property is sound, you dont want anyone saying things like Well this is damp, when in fact theyve left a tap running or something equally stupid….
