Shana asked: I have bombed the house twice and find dead roaches. My main concern is when I go outside at night I can see them running in all different directions. A lot of them and they are 1-2 inches big! What I need is a pest company to do a monthly spray or something. Do I have to pay to not live with these nasty creatures when they were there before me?

LisaT asked: I know laws vary, but is it generally understood that the landlord of a property is supposed to keep your walkway clear and safe?
We’ve had an unusually horrific dumping of snow and ice, and the whole city is out of snow shovels. My landlord lives next door and has one, but he hasn’t shoveled my walkway.
I plan to ask him, but I want to know the law/requirement first.
Also driveway or parking lot?

ohioan_femme asked: Today, Federal Reserve slashes benchmark interest rate to between 0.25 and zero percent. What the heck does that mean? And how come no matter how many times the Fed slash the rate, it barely affects the 15-year and 30-year mortgage interest rates? Does it have something to do with the housing demand? Isn’t the housing industry in the pits now? How come the rates are not going down? Can anyone explain this to me in layman’s language?

Ash asked: We are 6 months behind on our morgage, which is $1,100 a month. I am a single parent who is a full time student, my dad lives with me and we live off his $3,000 a month. I recently got divorsed and the house was left to me. I tried to get my morgage company to work with me when I was behind 2 months, but they wouldn’t. I was willing to pay off what we owed in payments, but they would only accept the full amount, which I just couldnt do and thats how I got into this whole mess. We cannot afford the house anymore and I really don’t want to mess up my credit with a foreclosure. I have looked into some places who will buy your house from you with the offer they make to you, but I don’t know if I should do that. Should I try to sell my house by myself? I cannot afford a agent to sell it for me and I also need to sell it fast. My ex-husband had kept the letters from the morgage company from me and I didn’t know that we had until the end of febuary until my house goes up for auction. Help!

W F asked: My neighbor wants to put the title of their home into her name, let the home go into foreclosure and then buy a home in her husband’s name. I tried to explain why I thought that would be a bad idea, but it was hard for me to think about all the different reasons why. Any ideas?
Besides- it would be bad for their credit for 7-10 years.
